There are signs that need no words. They arrive with the gentle flutter of a presence we recognize without fully understanding, but feel deeply in our hearts.
Luisa has been receiving very special visits: doves. A few days ago, some beautiful doves landed nearby. She took photos because they seemed like they had come straight out of a dream—their feathers, their light, the calm they radiated.
And one day later, while returning from Manhattan on a crowded train, something even more extraordinary happened. A kind man offered her a seat:
—Come, sit here. This spot is for you.
When Luisa sat down, he said:
—Look what I have for you.
He showed her pictures of his doves on his phone. One of them, blue with a red ribbon on its leg, shone in a very special way. It was impossible not to feel that a message was hidden in that encounter.
Doves are symbols of peace, freedom, and purity. Since ancient times, they have been considered messengers from the sky. Perhaps that is why, when they appear again and again, we know it is no coincidence.
A few days ago, we also received a visit. We went to the supermarket we used to go to with Matías. We rarely go there, but something drew us. In the aisle where he once played with cans on the cart, a dove suddenly appeared. It flew straight toward us, wings open, almost brushing our heads. Then it returned and began walking slowly toward us.
I recorded it on video from the moment it started walking.
In that instant, the heart understood what reason cannot explain.
The doves keep coming.
They fly, they land, they watch us, and they fly again.
They are a reminder that love never disappears: it transforms, rises, and finds us.
Matías, with his wings of light, continues sending messages from his sky.
And we, with open hearts, keep learning to recognize them.
Love always finds its flight.
